We apply the same discipline to ourselves: TRW Labs runs its own operations with a staff of AI agents, each with its own access limits and audit trail, under human command.

Rob Wingfield

Founder & CEO, TRW Labs Inc.

Rob Wingfield founded TRW Labs to deliver AI and software that organizations depend on, and he leads its technology from architecture to production.

He architects, deploys and operates production AI end to end: model evaluation and selection against defined requirements, inference serving and runtime optimization, retrieval and memory architecture, and the applications built on top. His practice spans cloud and on-premise deployment, automated release pipelines, schema migrations, role-based access control and continuous verification.

His technical command spans TypeScript, Python and Rust across React, Next.js, Node.js, Tauri, Electron and PostgreSQL, delivering web platforms, installable mobile applications and native desktop software. In blockchain, he designs distributed-ledger architecture, smart contracts and the tokenization of real-world assets. He has been writing software since the DOS era; his professional software career began in 2007, leading web development and motion graphics at 511 Digital.

His leadership was forged over more than 30 years in safety-critical aircraft systems, from service with the U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard to avionics and electrical systems across fighter, ISR, transport and business-jet flight test, including more than a decade leading avionics departments and production teams. That background sets the standard at TRW Labs: verification before deployment, documentation as a deliverable, and every failure traced to its root cause.

    AI systems and software · TRW Labs Inc.

    Designs, deploys and operates production AI and web systems, including an AI platform in continuous production for a healthcare client. Founded TRW Labs Inc. and leads it as Founder & CEO.

  2. 2021–present

    Flight test avionics and electrical systems

    Avionics and aircraft electrical systems on flight-test aircraft: fault isolation from flight-test data, systems checkout, and training technicians across disciplines.

  3. 2019–2021

    Logmet · Lead aircraft electrician

    C-130 avionics obsolescence upgrade, in flight test: led installation and checkout of TACAN, TAWS, TCAS, communications radios and electronic flight displays, and wrote the checkout procedures adopted as the standard for later aircraft.

  4. 2016–2018

    Managed nondestructive-testing production for aerospace component inspection and quality control. Applied Lean and Six Sigma to production flow, cutting rework 23%.
